Meath and Louth Local Sports Partnership wish to recruit a Programme Manager!

This is will be a fixed term contract for an initial period of 3 years. Hours of work will be 35 hours per week. The salary for this post will be aligned to LA Grade VI Salary Scale commensurate with experience.

The SportUile Programme Manager will foster and encourage a culture of Active Participation, supporting opportunities for and access to sport and physical activity in local communities of East Meath and Drogheda, paying particular attention to the development of initiatives for cross community engagement & participation; volunteer development & full utilisation of and access to local resources.

The candidate shall have:

  • A recognised qualification at degree (or higher) level or equivalent in sports development/community development/youth leadership or similar.
  • Minimum of five-years relevant paid work experience in a related sector to include both management of staff and project budgets
  • Experience in programme planning, delivery, monitoring, evaluation and reporting
  • A proficiency in IT and communication technology systems
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), administration, organisational and presentation skills.
  • Possess excellent professional/technical knowledge and skills.
  • Excellent team leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently or within multi-disciplined teams.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • A good understanding of safety management in the workplace including Health & Safety legislation and regulations.

Candidate must hold a full clean driving licence and have own transport.
