Swim Safe Event

As part of European Week of Sport Meath Local Sports Partnership in partnership with Swim Ireland are delighted to announce a Swim Safe event for Bettystown beach on Wednesday 25th September. This event will cater for everyone with a Swim safety talk provided by the Royal Life Saving Society, a Kids and a teen fun & splash session, an adults sea swim & dip and a walk and wade for adults 55+.

Refreshments & goody bags will be provided. The cost of the event is €5 per person.

Swim Safety talk – RLSS

Talk on the beach with representative from Royal Life Saving Society

6:00-6:30pm

Older Adults Walk & Wade

Activator pole walk and exercises on the beach followed by a walk in the water (water will be below knee height).

6:15-7:00pm

Kids fun and splash

 

 

Teen fun and splash 

Kids fun session, warm up on the beach followed by splash in the sea. Led by qualified coaches

 

Teens fun session on the beach and splash in the sea. Led by qualified coaches

7:00 – 7:45pm

Swim/ Dip taster session

Adults come and try sea swim session with qualified coaches.
